Are kids welcome? -

100%, let me know who is joining you on our trip and we can make arrangements.

Can I only join for a few days or even one day?

Of course! We welcome that! We are happy to pro-rate, just get in touch !

whats the deal with covid and travel?

**”As of May 1, 2022, travelers entering Greece are no longer required to display a certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection.” This may change and we still ask you to be vigilant in checking in to see what is needed by clicking the link here often. Plus a valid Passport. More details here at the US Embassay site

Do I really need to get travel insurance?

We HIGHLY suggest it. You just never know.

Seems expensive? Why is that?

Good question! Greece is not a super cheap place anymore! Greece is cheaper than the US or Canada but ultimately costs and prices have gone up like the rest of the ‘developed’ world. We are also not staying in ‘backpacker’ style places or accommodations, we feed you to the gills with luscious local delicacies and taste libations and juices of the land. You are treated well with care, and given a super special one of a kind experience that most don’t do or offer.

Are flights included?

Nope! however, we are happy to make suggestions on websites and airlines.

Booking Flights:

We suggest arriving to Greece 2-5 days prior to our meet-up. This helps you make time to adjust to time differences and to quarantine if you are asked by the Greek Health Department upon arrival or if you catch Covid/feel sick after flying.

Flying post lock-down is not as secure and flight changes + cancellations are a commonplace. Don't be late! Arrive on time and join our assemblage!

What if there are delays and restrictions to travel due to Covid, weather etc?

We highly suggest travel insurance. Its the only way to go at this time and really suggest that for your flights as well. Often credit cards provide insurance on purchases from airlines and rentals.

Will there be Laundry?

Yes! But not daily access and often only with at traditional homes only. If we stay at hotels, the hotel will offer a laundry service, this is NOT included in the cost of the seminar.

Do I have to be into mushrooms and mycology to come? Will it be scientific?

It helps to at least have an interest about mushrooms, newbies are welcome! We do suggest having an affinity for the ‘outdoors’ and a drive to learn about our more than human kin.

Mycology and Science are relative. We welcome all those wanting to learn the information, regardless of their previous schooling. Academia is a hierarchal system that we tend to pitter on the outskirts of, yet benefit from at the same time because of the incredible people putting that work in. We also consider traditional life ways to be scientific and masterful, and we truly believe that our grandparents and ancestors have technology and knowledge of equal, if not greater importance. We blend our desire for the hand drawn and our ability to have access to loads of info about mushrooms and all their glory through technology and work done previously done by others. We reference and teach “common” names, Latin names, and the local names for the mushrooms and plants we see.

Do I need to be Greek or have Greek lineage/ancestry?

No. Greece or the most southern tip of the Balkan Peninsula has been the stomping grounds of so many people, for so long. The culture is rich and thick because of the connections made over millenia. We welcome EVERYONE. If you’re Greek or of Balkan, Anatolian, Mediterranean, Levantine, SWANA descent I would be honored to host you and share my little patch of mycelial heaven we are tending in the Balkans. PLEASE COME AND LETS DANCE TOGETHER!

What is your Cancellation and Refund Policy?

Before sending a deposit we ask for you to make the commitment to join us.

When you cancel at any time on or before 121 days before we depart, we will retain 50% of your deposit for administrative fees

121 days and earlier: 50% deposit refunded, 100% of registration refunded

120-91 days til departure: 25% of deposit refunded, 75% of registration refunded

90-61 days to departure: No refund on deposit, 50% of registration refunded

60-31 days to departure: no refunds on deposit, 25% of registration refunded

30 days or less to departure: no refunds on any payment towards registration of deposits

With A la Carte Accommodations, how will we know where to book our own lodging and make plans ahead of time?

As soon as you make a deposit and secure your spot, we send you info about our time together so you can start booking your lodging and ground transit.

What’s the difference between the offerings?

SO MUCH! Lets make time for a call and we would love to describe the details over phone!

Is the October offering warm enough to catch swimming + enjoy the beach?

ABSOLUTELY! Its great time for catching the fringes of the Summer heat. Day time temps can get high, while night time temps can drop down and can be chilly.
